Spare some change for hair treatment
Everyone looses some hair everyday. You can lose up to 100 hairs a day and this is normal. But if hair loss runs in your family then you could lose alot more then 100 hairs a day. By the age of 50 about half of all people will end up with thin hair or bald spots.
Some medicines and diseases can also affect hair loss and cause you to lose more than normal.
Hair loss is fairly common, it can be tough to live with. The good news is there are many hair loss treatments out there for you.
What Causes Hair Loss?
Heredity
Age
Damage by pulling
Poor Diet
Chemotherapy
Stress
Thyroid Disease
How Is It Treated?
Hair loss that runs in families can be treated with surgery or medicines. Some people chose to wear hairpieces. If hair loss is caused by something you can control, like medicine or stress, you can treat it by doing away with the cause. There are shampoos and creams that can be used to make hair thicker and keep hair from falling out.
When trying to decide on a treatment, think about these questions:
Will it last?
How long will it take?
What is going to work?
How much will it cost?
Are there any side effects?
Unless you have hair loss surgery, medicines will not make your hair grow back. Medicines will thicken the hair you have, and help keep anymore hair from falling out. Surgery is the only way to make new hair grow where hair has already fallen out, if your hair has fallen out because of heredity.
